Why you are important, and why you must stay strong.Bi-gendered people feel cursed by today's societies...even by the societies that should exercise greater tolerance. It is small wonder that the mainstream, vanilla society doesn't understand who we are. What is surprising is that even the Gay and Lesbian communities aren't as supportive as they could be. People are threatened and distrustful of that which they do not understand. And you, my brothers and sisters, have to be strong. In a different time, we were not distrusted, but considered gifted. Having insight into how men and women differ...and the capacities they share as human beings. Not shamans, but humans with spiritual insight. The fact that this insight is unused and unappreciated today is only temporary. And while we all know the despair that can come from feeling set aside. Remember. We are gifted...and We are not alone. You must stay strong, not for yourself...but for your brothers and sisters who are bi-gendered and for others who would welcome your gifts if only they could understand how to use them. |
